What steps are being taken to dye shoes?

1. Clean shoes

It always starts with cleaning the shoes thoroughly. In this way, all dirt is immediately removed. For leather shoes, the layer of paint and grease is first removed. This can be compared to sanding the wall before painting it. Suede shoes are cleaned by steam. It is not only important for dyeing to clean your shoes. Taking care of your Santoni shoes ensures that you can enjoy your shoes even longer. After cleaning, the shoes must first dry.

2. Fill shoes

It is important when dyeing that all folds of the leather are tight. In this way, the paint is well spread over the entire shoe so that it is nicely even. To realize this, the shoes are filled.

3. Apply paint

With special paint that penetrates well, the shoe is painted with the desired color. Depending on the type of shoe, for example the classic Santoni shoes or Santoni sneakers are spread 1 or more layers.

4. Let it dry well

The paint applied to the shoe should now dry properly. In this way, the paint can adhere well to the material. The drying of the shoes takes about 1 to 2 days, depending on the material. Suede shoes are nicely brushed after drying and leather shoes are nicely painted.
